In a Quart Glass bottle squeeze the juice of 1/3 of the lime and toss in the remaining skin and pulp. Now add 2 – 3 grams of vitamin C powder. Next add 1/4 of a “baby teaspoon” of the stevia powder as it is very sweet. I use a baby teaspoon because a teaspoon is too big for stevia. If you don’t have a baby teaspoon then use about 1/16 of a standard teaspoon to start with. Fill the remaining bottle with filtered tap water and shake thoroughly. Adjust to your taste by adding more stevia or vitamin C.
Health Benefits: This is a wonderfully refreshing drink for all year round. It is a very powerful antioxidant, it reduces inflammation, and it helps prevent cataracts as well as reducing glaucoma risk. It also reduces your risk of colds and infections.
Storing: If you will keep this more than a day, you may want to remove the lime skin as it will become bitter if stored more than a day. Otherwise it should be fresh tasting for several days; however, I go through a quart at least daily.
Enjoy, Dr J.
